well, i thought that was highly comical because after telling all my friends to check out the new design and sign my guestbook, every one of them reported that my guestbook was apparently "broken"... yeah, see, the only working function is read.. so i thought maybe since it was in my plans to redesign the guestbook, i'd go ahead and do that and include a little message saying "if it doesn't work try back later", or something -- and guess what? no beans

so, not only is it unreliable for the end user, but i also can't change my design at will
