Today, I filled out job applications for a handful of preppy clothing stores: Old Navy, Abercrombie, Hollister, The Buckle, and American Eagle. I'm one step closer to food service.

To honor the Memorial weekend extension, Yousless and I watched About a Boy, Moulin Rouge, and Artifical Intelligence. The latter two were incredibly trippy, while About a Boy was good. Not that I didn't like A.I. and M.R., as I genuinely* enjoy nearly every movie, but both of them seemed to be a little longer than they should be. The fourth movie we rented Sunday night was Rising Sun, starring Sean Connery and Wesley Snipes. I suspect it will be marvelous, but I postponed it to work on the aforementioned job apps. KYLE'S BEAN DIP

And here's how I'm going to make it. That's right, follow these simple instructions, and you can be fartin' with the best of them (a roommate I happen to miss often) in no time!

Dump a can of refried beans, a can of Chili Man, a regular-sized bar of cream cheese, and two packages of shredded picante cheddar jack cheese, into a medium-large saucepan and simmer, stirring occasionally, until cheese begins to melt.

Eat with Tostidos (or, in our case, the cleverly-named knockoff "Zestidos") and a high-octane burp soda. I'm gonna go with Coca-Cola Classic. RC is probably ideal here, but I don't stock RC.

Yousaf and I realized his mom had given us English muffins, and, assuming those things go bad quickly, decided to make a sort of egg mcmuffin. He scrambled six eggs, fried six strips of turkey bacon, and toasted four English muffins, while I sorta screwed around on the computer. Add a slice of cheese to each sandwich and you've got yourself a great 4PM breakfast!

We ate them with very berry strawberry milk, which was excellent (as all things bearing the "very berry strawberry" name tend to be). I thought of Nate. I probably should've toasted to him, but he's a liar so I just drank my beverage in silence.

I still miss Dark Angel, as Yous and I find something that reminds us of this beautiful series in every movie we watch.

If you haven't gathered, my summer life is completely meaningless and I accomplish very little. And as if that's not heavenly enough, I'm going to go take a bubble bath!
