so i had an extremely interesting day
i woke up and found out i had a letter offering me a job, from vector marketing.. just so everyone knows, this company is a serious scam and i don't recommend you get involved
anyway, most of the details can be summed up here and, in shorter form, here.
i got pretty far along into their system, past the hiring phase and was all set to go get my training/brainwashing, when billy referred me to these links. so thanks billy :)
so i got home and told my friends on aim about this scam thing.. had a really nice chat with bernadette in which we cleared up some really foggy old issues of miscommunication between us and caught up on close to a year of stuff stuff, and then dale and i talked about life (as we've been known to do over these three years that were imsa)
dank and spritz got back from orientation, but i was busy falling off my "new-job" cloud nine and reading more and more about the marketing scam that is vector, so i'll get all the detials later.
so starts day 3 without Brytne contact, since she got a speeding ticket and is banned from computer and phone for a week, and i, of course, live 400 some miles away from her :'(
soooo... that's my day. not a lot of insight here, but the fact that i have gained tons of insight and world experience today, and my cabin fever has faded since i got to get out and drive up to carbondale for the interview.
today we detailed plans for puppetmaster marathon thursday at danny's, where we'll try our hand at cooking something (undecided what) from-scratch for the first time (we pulled off cheesy spaghetti with refrigerator ingredients last time -- new year's eve -- but one of those ingredients was ragu pasta sauce.. or maybe prego. whatever... and another was cheese. weak.)
i used to help my dad make spaghetti basically like that, except for a pre-mixed seasoning thing we used. smashing tomato paste against the side of the pan with a fork was usually my job, and basically making it into tomato sauce. i never understood why we didn't just buy tomato sauce, but i suppose that would be just one more step closer to buying ragu pasta sauce.. or maybe prego. whatever.
so, yeah... 4:49 is time for bed
no wonder the moon in the window seems to have drifted
out of a love poem that you used to know by heart.
